Retina

The retina is the part of the eye that converts sensory impressions into electrical impulses, which are then communicated to the brain.

The examination and treatment of retinal disorders, particularly of the central retina (the “macula”), is one of the focal points in our office.

In addition to a thorough clinical exam, we are also equipped to photograph the retina and to assess retinal structures through fluorescein angiography. We also do cross-sectional retinal imaging though state-of-the-art laser technology known as spectral optical coherence tomography (spectral OCT) with a resolution of a few micrometres.

Our office is equipped to perform the full range of retinal laser therapy.
